Or you can mix the soda with some drops of water and put it directly on the problem spots before washing it off with water.

3. Aloe Vera

This unique plant is not only a great skin moisturizer, but it also helps with regeneration and with healing burns and pigment spots. Just squeeze the juice from the aloe vera leaf and put it on any problem spots two times a day.

4. Onion

Onions contain both sulfur and vitamin C which help regenerate the skin, get rid of pigment spots, smooth wrinkles and fight acne and other skin imperfections. Simply put the juice from a red onion onto the desired areas of the face and wash off with cool water after 10 minutes.

5. Garlic

Believe it or not, garlic contains a huge amount of essential oils that can be very effective when it comes to lightening your skin. To use, cut a clove of garlic in half and rub it on your face a few times a day.

6. Vinegar

9. Berry Juice

Berry juice is very rich in vitamin C. A handful of swamp viburnum, cranberry and black currant is good for lightening the skin. Squeeze the juice out of the berries onto a cloth and put it on the face for 15 minutes. Then, wash the mixture off with warm water.

10. Aspirin

Mix 10 aspirin pills with 3 oz of water. Rub the mixture onto the face three times a week. Be sure to take a three-day break from using the treatment every seven days.

How can you prevent pigment spots?

A balanced diet combined with preventive measures can help you avoid the many elements that cause the appearance of pigment spots.

  1. Exclude the possibility of any diseases that might lead to the appearance of new pigment spots and other health issues.
  2. Keep your skin moisturized and drink enough water.
  3. Try to avoid the summer sunshine from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
