PAGASA has revealed that many cities and provinces already have heat levels that are considered as dangerous.
The cities / provinces affected include Dagupan, Pangasinan; Cuyo, Palawan; Tugegarao, Cagayan; Daet, Camarines Norte; Calapan, Oriental Mindoro; Aparri, Cagayan; Sangley Point, Cavite; Catbalogan, Western Samar; Baler, Aurora; Cotabato City, Maguindanao; Pasay City, Metro Manila; Dipolog, Zamboanga Del Norte; Virac, Catanduanes; Masbate City; Masbate.
The Philippine Daily Inquirer shared a post showing the heat levels recorded in the mentioned locations.
A heat index level of 41 degrees Celsius to 54 degrees Celsius is considered as dangerous, with heatstroke, heat cramps, and heat exhaustion possible if a person continuously works under the sun.
If the heat index goes to 54 degrees Celsius, it would then be considered as extremely dangerous.
According to the Manila Bulletin, Dagupan City in Pangasinan already reached a heat index level of 52 degrees Celsius.
