– Jej Vinson stunned ‘The Voice US’ judges with his jaw-dropping performance
– He sang Drake’s “Passionfruit” amazingly
– His absolute performance was an effortless 4-chair turner
Jej Vinson, a young Filipino singer made The Voice US coaches beg for him to pick them after he sang “Passionfruit” by Drake on ‘The Voice US’.
We learned that his outstanding performance was a no-sweat 4-chair turner.
With so much amusement on their faces, all four The Voice US coaches, Adam Levine, John Legend, Blake Shelton, and Kelly Clarkson all turned their chairs for Jej Vinson.
Kelly Clarkson could not help but show her admiration towards Jej as she immediately gave the Filipino auditionee a hug.
“You’re a better singer than all of us,” Adam said after Jej finished her blind audition piece.
“That’s not true!” replied Vinson. Right after, he went ahead and proudly introduced himself as a Filipino, but is now living in Los Angeles.
“My name is Jej Vinson and I’m originally from the Philippines, but now I live in Los Angeles.”
Legend, Shelton, and Clarkson also told Vinson the beauty of his performance by inciting some praises about his performance.
“I was worried that you would stay in that little zone, but then you showed us this really precise, beautiful runs. It’s like you knew the note you wanted and you just picked it out the air and you hit every single one with precision, and beauty, and excitement. You got the whole crowd going,” Legend said.
“I think everybody here is probably a little bit nervous talking to you right now. We all feel like we’re all looking at the winner of ‘The Voice’ this season,” Shelton added.
“I can win this show with you. You are incredible, man. I turned around and I was like, ‘What?’ And it was so effortless,” Clarkson stated.
After all the immense convincing by the four coaches, Jej has picked Kelly Clarkson to be his coach on the next rounds of the competition.
