Some of the things or event that can make us Filipinos totally united is when a fellow-Filipino represents our country in a global competition like a beauty pageant, basketball league, singing and dancing contest, and of course, boxing.

Filipinos have been proven united whenever our very own boxing icon Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao competes with foreign professional boxers like himself, the zero-crime rate and zero-traffic congested roads are just one of the proofs on how we unite as one to show our support for our so-called “Pambansang Kamao”.

Right after his match with Argentinian boxer Lucas Matthysse, our social media newsfeeds are bombarded with congratulatory messages for Pacquiao and every Filipino is expressing how proud they are with Pacman. But one reaction from a TV network giant publicist drew flak from netizen after expressing how much he loathed the boxing champ-turned-Senator.

ABS-CBN publicist Eric John Salut first tweeted saying that he is proud with Matthysse, on his follow up tweet, Salut said that Pacquiao is the most stupid incumbent Senator of this administration.

“Tapos a-attend yan sa Senate na akala mo, hero! Ul*l! Ikaw ang pinakabobong Senador, no!,” he wrote.

Salut also lets the public know that he is not proud of the boxing icon who, according to him, did not even take a stand when President Rodrigo Duterte lambasts God and the Christian teaching.

“Wag n’yo akong diktahan sa posts ko. Ni hindi nga nyan napagtanggol ang Diyos nung binastos ni Duterte! Namimili yan ng Diyos nya!” Salut said.

“Kung ipinatanggol nya ang Panginoon sa pambabalahura ni Duterte, magiging proud pa ako sa kanya! Ano’ng ginagawa nya? Wag ako!” he added.

Salut also said that is much prouder with what Filipina singer Lea Salonga have accomplished in the international scene.

But of course, the Filipino netizen came to rescue and slammed Salut’s hate-tweets against Senator Pacquiao.
