Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) need to be smart, alert, and cautious. While the dangers here aren’t so different from those found abroad, it’s still important to be aware especially since they’re alone. In order to help out his fellow Filipinos overseas, a netizen shared about his recent experience with a new scam.
Suante Agguirre is an OFW currently working in Saudi Arabia. We can guess that because of that experience, he knows that the people he can rely on are his fellow countrymen.
This is why the concerned netizen found it necessary to warn other Filipinos about the dangers of a scam he recently experienced. Suante saw a wad of cash as he parked his car on a random road.
The money was tightly bound by a rubber band and there seemed to be no owner in sight. If it were anyone else, the feeling of joy would’ve triumphed over suspicion and caution.
It’s a good thing that Suante never touched the money and moved his car someplace else. Then, as if confirming his suspicions, two men suddenly went near his vehicle. They kept asking about the money he had seen earlier.
“SABI NO SABI NG ISANG LALAKING MAITIM TATAWAG DAW SYA NG PULIS SABI KO OK CALL THE POLICE AYAW NMAN NILA PINDUTIN CP NILA PARA TUMAWAG NG PULIS SABI KO AKO NA LANG TATAWAG NG PULIS PARA ALAM NG PULIS ANG GINAGAWA NILANG PANG LOLOKO SA TAO BIGLA SILANG UMALIS AT KINUHA NILA ANG PERA NA NAKITA KO”
