Heart melting footage shows the moment a father is reunited with his son who has Down Syndrome after a week apart.
Matt Cobrink, 53, was flown to New York from the home he shares with his father Malcolm, 88, in Los Angeles to meet his favorite baseball player, Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees.
But the trip meant that Matt would be away from his father for almost a week, for the first time in 25 years, since his mother passed away.
Matt’s sister Marcy decided to record the moment when they were reunited because she knew how much he missed him.
The vision is going absolutely nuts on social media at the moment, clocking up more than 20 million views after it was posted to Facebook by Matt’s sister, Marcy Cobrink Mayer.
Matt is seen rushing down the escalator and sharply turning at the end to greet his father, almost tripping over himself.
In an interview with Jason Duaine Hahn at People, Cobrink Mayer said Matt had been to New York to see favourite baseball player, Aaron Judge, who plays for the Yankees.
She was expecting an emotional reunion, so had her camera ready as Matt headed down the escalators.
“I knew that my brother and my father are so closely attached, and I knew that after five days my brother was going to really be missing my father,” Cobrink Mayer said.
“They’re never separated for five days.”
Prepare to have your heart melted.
