Despite the fact that the chances of winning the lottery are depressingly small, a lot of people are still hooked, hoping that one day, luck might be on their side. As we all know, a one-shot win at this popular game can absolutely change a person’s life in just a blink of an eye. There are hundreds of millions at stake and who can stop a wishful person from hoping that the money could be theirs?
Recently, two elderly men, who were arguing about the lottery, immediately caught the attention of many netizens on Facebook.
Based on the viral video shared by Suiluj Gnopmot (or Julius Tompong if spelled backward), the two old men were debating about what could happen if the hundred million peso prize offered by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) is still not yet won and claimed by the lottery players.
As seen on their very heated-debate with one another, the old man who was wearing a blue sleeveless shirt said that the government will automatically proclaim a winner to scam all the million worth of prizes that it already put up. He believed that this was the way of the government to deceive and corrupt the people who keep on playing it.
The elder man who was wearing a white shirt, on the other hand, rebutted and said that these were all lies. He firmly believed that the government will not do despicable things like that and the game will still continue until it finds the lucky winner.
Which side of the argument do you actually believe?
