Dominique Cojuangco, the daughter of Gretchen Barretto and Tonyboy Cojuangco, was recently diagnosed with dengue.

She kept on getting high fevers and was later on confined in the hospital for two weeks. Fortunately, the aspiring fashion designer is now in the recovering stages of her sickness.

Gretchen recently showed gratitude to everyone who prayed and worked for her daughter’s recovery.

On Instagram, she gave a glimpse of how much her ‘unica hija‘ has gone better. As we all know, the daughter spent time abroad for her studies. Because of this, she is more fluent in speaking English than Tagalog. In the video that Gretchen posted, we hear the veteran actress and her daughter poking a little fun with this known fact. Dominique tried to read out loud a comment by a netizen that was written in Tagalog.

With all her effort, and of course an accent she read:

“Kahit sobrang sosyal, kahit talagang super yaman ka, sobrang linis at maselan sa katawan. Pag kinagat ka ng lamok na may virus, wala kang magagawa!” and followed it up with “Magandang umaga sa inyong lahat!”

These obviously got a lot of comments from their followers.

Gretchen commended her daughter for being able to do this while all the laughing in the background proved that things were getting better.

Dengue is a common sickness during the rainy season. Let’s all keep this in mind so we can be extra cautious because as Dominique previously said,

“Pag kinagat ka ng lamok na may virus, wala kang magagawa!”
