Some people have preconceived notions about the people they see on the streets, especially if they are children or minors. Some may wonder why these kids are not in school, learning and playing with people their age, and some may immediately assume that these children might have already lost their way in life. But another viral video is proving just what it is like to be a kid on the street.
When children from the streets approach pedestrians, more often than not, they get ignored and people just walk by them. But sometimes, giving them a chance to speak can lead to a pleasant surprise.
In the video, three policemen in full uniform showed just what you can get if you hear out children from the street. The policemen gave three minors from the street a chance and heard them out, only to witness quite a performance once the trio starts to rap. According to the Facebook post, these kids from Buendia, Makati rap and perform for people I order to earn money – they do not outright ask for money.
After their performance, the policemen even gave them some money for their exceptional performance so that they can buy a new pair of slippers.
“Sila po ang mga batang Buendia, kumakanta at nagra-rap sa mga dumadaang jeep at bus para kumita ng pera upang makatulong sa kanilang magulang. Hindi po sila mga snatchers, bagkus mga batang umiiwas sa anumang bisyo,” the Facebook user posted along with the one – minute video of the kids.
“Disclaimer: Ang perang inabot po sa kanila ay kusang-loob na bigay pambili ng tsinelas.” the user added to clarify where the money that was handed to the kids are meant to go.
The video immediately went viral and gained thousands of views, reactions, and shares in just a few days. Many netizens found the video entertaining as well and shared their thoughts in the comments section.
“Wow ang galing ng mga bata that’s right keep away from troubles .wow din sa mga pulis na nagbigay ng pera sa kanila..x,” one netizen said.
“Ayos yan mga bata ipag patuloy nyo yan magandang salamin yan para sa mga kabataan.” another netizen said.
“Cge lang tuloy nio lang yan at gawin nio lang ang mabubuting asal may mgandang ani yan mga utoy,” another one said.
Some users also commended the police for actually hearing the children out and not immediately judging them for being out on the streets.
“good job sa ganitong mga pulis at sa mga kabataan maging parehas lng kyo pra swertehin kyo sa buhay #KMJS na,” one user said.
“Hindi ako hunga sa mga nag rap kong di sa mga pulis na nakinig sa mga batang di dapat husgahan sa anyong kasuotan. Saludo ako sa inyo mga sir,” another user said.
The post earned a lot of comments tagging Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho as well in the the hopes of getting the kids featured in the show.
