Magicians have always been wowing the viewers of “American’s Got Talent” since it started. This particular act of using illusion never fails to reach the end of the popular talent competition. One of which is the magician named Shin Lim.
To those who haven’t heard of him yet (which is really a shame), Shin Lim made it to the final cut for the talent show’s grand showdown. He immediately became famous for his impressive fast-paced card tricks. So, in preparation for the upcoming finale, let us get to know a little bit more about him.
Meet Shin Lim
The 26-year-old magician was born in Canada but he was raised in Singapore. According to him, he doesn’t necessarily consider himself as a magician. Rather, Shin Lim prefers to be called a sleight of hand artist.
As a matter of fact, this impressive man revealed on his own website that he’s actually not a magician nor a wizard, and he has no intention of lying to his audience.
Moreover, Shin Lim uses the art of mind-boggling hand moves in order to keep his audience from wondering if his particular act is truly possible.
He revealed that he always performs with his “carefully self-choreograph routines rather than pretending to defy the laws of Physics.”
Because of that, it helped him to win several awards such as “2015 Reigning FISM World Champion In Close Up Card Magic,” “2014 IBM Close Up Magician of the Year,” and “2014 FISM North American Champion of Card Magic” among others.
What’s Next For Him?
In the coming week, Shin Lim will about to compete alongside other top acts such as Michael Ketterer, Zurcaroh, Duo Transcend, Samuel J. Comroe, Daniel Emmet, Brian King Joseph, Glennis Grace, Vicki Barbolak, and Courtney Hadwin.
